E-2 RESPONDS TO WOODBRIDGE 5TH ALARM

911 Hot Designs Administrator    April 25, 2014    No Comments

Friday, April 25, 2014 On Friday, April 25th at approximately 2240 hours, New Market FD was requested to respond to Woodbridge Twp as part of the Middlesex County Tanker Task Force. Woodbridge was operating at a 5th Alarm industrial fire on Crows Mill Rd at a material recycling company. Engine "662" was specifically requested to respond and arrived in Woodbridge shortly later with a crew of four. Originally assigned to be part of a pump relay, E2 was reassigned to a tanker fill site to work along side the Kendall Park Fire Co. Tankers from Middlesex, Somerset, Mercer and Monmouth Counties were on scene and filling operations commenced without incident. This continued for many hours until an FDNY fireboat was in position to pump into the "Neptune System", using 12" lines. E2 and Kendall Park broke down their assigned fill site at approximately 5:00AM and was back home at 5:30AM.473463_orig
